About me
Hello — and thank you for stopping by!
I’m a photographer (both film and stills) and editor based in Oslo, Norway.
My name is Maria, I’m born in 97 and raised on the beautiful (and yes, windy) Norwegian west coast: Haugesund. I’m deeply interested in peoples personal stories
- set in their natural environments, shaped by both light and landscape.
I primarily work as a photographer, but depending on the project I’m also happy to do directing, development and editing. I’m mostly drawn towards documentary and entertainment work.
I studied film at Westerdals Oslo ACT, Høyskolen Kristiania from 2017–2020, before moving on to work as a freelance filmmaker and photographer. During this period, I gained experience working at NRK’s Documentary department. Alongside my freelance work, I hold a full-time position as a photographer and videographer in the marketing department at Norway’s largest publishing house, Cappelen Damm.
Example of my working process
